In temporary situations such as piling used for particular sporting or cultural events the benefit of a screw piles is that they can be removed easily at the end of the event.

Screw piles can be wound out by simply rotating the pile in the reverse direction to when it was installed. This enables the project manager to leave the site in the exactly the same condition he found it and without any subsurface debris being left behind.
